Based on my Strength Finder, I am Deliberative, Learner, Ideation, Individualization and Input. Ideation is the impetus for this blog.  Writing this has been life changing for me and opened doors I never would have expected. My hope is that you’ll read something that will get you thinking and perhaps stir your emotions .  Please share if you read something that speaks to you!

I currently live with my husband of 41 years, also a music educator, in a small mid-western city.  We have three grown boys, two of whom are married and two grandsons who all live in the same town we do.  I have been a music educator for the past 30 years, currently as a teacher leader, and have served (and currently serve) on several boards that promote and advocate for music and the arts.  Since the pandemic, my goal is to inform others as to why all teachers (public and private) and education are so important, the truth of the state of public education today and why it should be all about the kids.  Through it all, it all boils down to relationships.
